Mrs. Helen May Key, age 80, of the Pleasant Grove Community, Ellijay, Ga. passed from this life on February 7th , 2011 at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and previously employed with Blue Ridge Carpets as a tuffter. She was born March 20th, 1930 to her late parents Sam and Sarah Wishon May in Ellijay, Ga.Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Randall and Martha Key of Cherrylog, Ga., Rodney and Debbie Key of Cherrylog, Ga., grandchildren Michelle Key Abercrombie, Derek Key, Dedra Key, Sarah Key, Michael Key, great grandchildren Dawson Abercrombie, Kalli Bassett, Dylan Abercrombie, sisters Alma May Lutrell of Ellijay, Ga., Francis May Allen of Ellijay, Ga., and brother Newell May of Ellijay, Ga.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at the Old Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Sam May, Rev. Edmund Miller, Rev. Rubin Smith, and Rev. Brian Hensley, music and song by Loy Jarrett. Interment service will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Abercrombie, Ronald May, Alan May, Gary May, Ruel Mulkey, Charles Mulkey, Rev. Sam May, Derek Key, and Michael Key.
