Mrs. Mildred Sophie Henson Nealey age 88 of Gates Chapel Rd. Ellijay, GA passed away Monday March 28, 2011.

Mrs. Nealey was born on April 5, 1922 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Wylie Hix Henson, Sr. & Effie Hill Henson. She was a machine operator at Hampton Mills and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Nealey, sister, Maggie Lee Teague, and brothers, Charlie and Herbert Henson.

Survivors include: Daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Terry Smith, Ellijay, Son and daughter-in-law Paul and Diane Nealey, Ellijay; 3 Grandsons: Scott Smith, Newton, GA., Frank Smith, Ellijay, Ryan Nealey, Ellijay; 2 Great grandchildren: Cole and Austin Smith; Brothers: Carl Henson, Ellijay, Wiley H. Henson, Jr., Lexington, KY.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 31, 2011 at 2pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover, Rev. Billy Nealey, and Rev. Roy Scott officiating. Interment will be held in the Yukon Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30 from 3pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
