Roger Bradley Announces Candidacy For Superior Court Judge

On May 23, 2012 Judge Bradley qualified with the Georgia Secretary of State seeking his fourth term as Judge for the Appalachian Judicial Circuit. The Appalachian Judicial Circuit currently has three judges; one residing in Fannin County, one residing in Pickens County; with Judge Bradley residing in Gilmer County. On January 1, 2001 he was sworn in as Superior Court Judge, having previously served for twelve years as a Municipal Court judge.

Judge Bradley and his family moved from Woodstock to Ellijay in 1974. He established his law practice and to be near and assist his wife’s grandfather, Wheeler Baker, in as much as he had recently lost his wife.

Judge Bradley has been married to his wife Gerri Bradley, for over forty years, (she was formerly in real estate); and they are the proud parents of two children , Dr. Kenneth Bradley, an anesthesiologist in California, and Dr. Bonnie Bradley Doucette, a local optometrist.

Judge Bradley says it impossible to make both sides happy in contested litigation in court proceedings, but will continue his practice of being patient, kind and fair to all court participants.

Judge Bradley also says “it has been an honor and a privilege to serve in the capacity of public servant as a judge, and I seek your support in any capacity, but especially your vote at the polls on July 31, 2012.”

Judge Bradley has been active in civic affairs as well as having been a deacon and an elder in his local church.
