I’m Blessed to Meet You!

Religion

It’s my pleasure and privilege to join the FetchYoursNews.com family as the Religion Page editor and weekly columnist. It’s my hope that this page will always serve as a source of encouragement, edification, hope and healing.
My wife Michelle and I have been residents of Gilmer County since 1996, and have loved and ministered in Jesus name through youth ministry and as a pastor. In 2010, I founded Grace to Glory Discipleship Ministries, Inc. where I serve as a pastoral/discipleship counselor and LIfe Coach. Our focus at Grace to Glory is consistent with what our lives are about: Seeing people restored to who God created them to be and the life God created them to live. Michelle is currently working toward her Masters in Professional Counseling through Liberty University online. She and I have three sons, two of which we’ll spend the next four months following to wrestling tournaments around the state. Joshua is a senior and Jacob, a junior. Our youngest son Jonathan is in 6th grade.

If you decide to read my columns on a regular basis, you’ll surely pick up on my passion to see all people understand and experience the fullness of what Christ accomplished on the cross and in his resurrection. What Jesus says in John 15:5 is a key verse for me: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (NIV)
I have a core belief that our lives will never change if we focus on trying to sin less or try to be like Jesus in our own strength, but only when we “remain” in him, enjoying an intimate, loving relationship with our Father through him, and putting our focus and faith in what Christ has done and now can do in us and through us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

My prayer is that everything I write will lead you to see our Heavenly Father for who he truly is, and that you will begin to see yourself and others through his eyes. We will never come close to grasping how much he loves us and how much value he has placed on us.

Although I am not currently serving as a pastor of a local church, I have a pastor’s heart. I welcome your comments and questions in response to my articles and will make myself available as much as possible to the needs of the community. I especially have a heart for pastors and love every opportunity I have to be a safe place as a friend, a counselor, or a coach committed to helping kingdom dreams come to fruition.

I look forward to growing with you!
Tim
