Gilmer County Fire Department Responds to Wreck on Hwy 52 E

Last night the Gilmer County Fire Department responded to a serious single car wreck on Highway 52 East.

According to the Gilmer County Fire Department, an accident occured on Hwy 52 East last night and involved a vehicle off the roadway with two indviduals inside. Sadly, however, according to Gilmer County Fire Chief Tony Pritchett, one of which was pronounced dead on the scene and a female was also airlifted from the scene.

“Firefighters worked for the better part of 30 minutes trying to extricate the female,”

said Fire Chief Pritchett.
