Gilmer County tragically lost Post Commissioner Randy Bell but most of all the citizens lost their “Watch Dog.” Whether it was the Tax Assessor Board, golf course, the Courthouse or the Gilmer County Building Authority; Bell left no stone unturned when he started his investigation.
Bell was known for speaking out about the issues and here we share some of FYN archived videos of Bell – addressing what he felt was the issue of the day.
In this first video Bell expresses his opinion after the Board of Commissioners vote to increase property tax to pay bond payments created by the Gilmer County Building Authority. Bell opposed the creation of the Gilmer County Building Authority and when created warned this would happen.
