Mrs. Joyce N. Hill Cornett, age 88 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her home.
Born Friday, September 4, 1925 in Vale, Oregon to the late Henry B. and Gladys C. Hill. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Ellijay and a graduate of Vale High School. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. “Jack” Cornett, who passed away in 1991.

Together they built the Cornett Ranch into a wonderful home for their growing family, as well as an award winning quarter horse breeding business. After losing Jack, Joyce enjoyed frequent family gatherings and the many wonderful friends she met through her Blue Ridge bridge groups. She often said, “Of all our 31 moves during our life together, this was the only move made just for us, simply because we loved it!”
