Linda L. Liles joined her beloved husband, Leonard, in heaven on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, after battling a neurological disorder.

She was born to Boyd and Mary Smith Anderson, in Miami Florida on April 12, 1948. She graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High and began her secondary education at Miami-Dade Community College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from University of West Florida, and later a Master’s Degree, both in Education. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher first in Texas and Germany, where her husband was stationed, and later for 30+ years at Campbell Drive Elementary, in Dade County. She and her husband retired to Ellijay, Georgia, where she began teaching at First Baptist Church of Ellijay’s preschool. She was a devoted coach’s wife and supported her husband and his teams. She was also a loving mother who loved hearing about her children’s lives. She loved singing and playing the bells in the choir both in Ellijay and as a longtime member First Baptist Church of Homestead. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary, brother Keith, and her husband of 43 years, Leonard.

She is survived by her father Boyd, of Boca Raton, FL; mother-in-law, Jo Liles, of Shalimar, FL; and her children and their families: son, Lance and wife Ali, of Shalimar, FL and their children, Grayson and Maura; her son Lonnie and wife Samantha, of Jacksonville, FL and their daughter, Reagan; her daughter Leisha, of Knoxville, TN.  Linda is also survived by her brother Kevin Anderson, of Boca Raton, FL and his children Cristina Gelb, Melissa Anderson, Kevin Anderson, and Nicolas Anderson all of Boca Raton, FL.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at the Cartecay Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Bramlett officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be sent to Cure PSP www.psp.org or in support of the Emerald Coast Hospice, for whom the family is eternally grateful.
