“Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will arise”, says the Lord; “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.” Psalm 12:5-6.
Father of Grace and Glory, you always have the needy in your gaze. So easily are they defrauded and taken advantage of when they have no human advocate. But you see their plight and hear their pleas and you take action to meet their needs.
Sometimes, all that gives us hope is your promises. We step out on them and find that they are firm. You have never broken a promise to us and your word is filled with glorious things for your people. There is support for every need. Thank you for filling full the longings of our hearts through Christ, our Savior.
