Feed Truck Involved in Accident on 282

According to the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office there was a one vehicle accident involving a Pilgrim’s Pride feed truck just before 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 29th heading eastbound on route 282.The wreck occured near Willy’s Knife Shop and the Red Apple Barn at the curve in the road on route 282. The road was shut down for several hours while emergency crews tended to the accident. The road was re-opened later in the afternoon.

The GCSO stated

“the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital and flown out with injuries that are most likely not life threatening.”
