Mrs. Joyce G. Merrell age 65 of Ellijay died Monday December 31, 2012.

Mrs. Merrell was born on April 8, 1947 in Dawsonville, GA. She is the daughter of the late Joe Blackwell and Audie Chumbley Blackwell. She worked for Jasper Rubber Co. She is preceded in death by her husband James Merrell.
Survivors include: Son & daughter-in-law: Willie & Susie Merrell, Ellijay; 7 Grandchildren: Angela Mulkey, Elaine Merrell, Shellie Merrell, Kimberley Merrell, Justin Kendricks, Jordan Merrell & J. D. Merrell; 5 Great Grandchildren: Taylor Mulkey, Parker Mulkey, Levi Johnson, Cali Fairweather & Leah Johnson; Sisters: Mamie Singleton, Social Circle, GA, Jaunita Ramey, Jasper; Brothers: J. B. Blackwell, Madison, GA, James Blackwell, Loganville, GA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 2pm from the Four Mile Baptist Church in Pickens County with Rev. William Blackwell & Rev. Wayne Moore officiating.
Interment will follow in the Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday Jan. 1st from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
