Mr. Ranell H. Mathis age 85 of Tucker, GA formerly of Ellijay died Thursday February 21, 2013.

Mr. Mathis was born on August 17, 1927 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Homer Mathis and Velva Mae Lowman Mathis. He was a retired truck driver for Eastern Foods a US Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: Wife: Frances Mullinax Mathis of the home; Brothers & sisters-in-law: Roy & Sara Mathis, Mabelton, GA, Reggie & Linda Mathis, Rossville, GA, Ronnie & Ernestine Mathis, Clarksville, GA, Ruel & Becky Mathis, Mabelton, GA; Sisters: Mabel Mathis & Mavis Edmondson both of Ellijay; Brother-in-law & sisters-in-law: Robert & Nadine Mullinax, Hagerstown, MD, Ernestine Mullinax, Barberton, OH, Lucille Smith, Birmingham, AL Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday February 24, 2013 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday Feb. 23rd from 3pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice of Atlanta 1957 Lakeside Pkwy, Ste 500 Tucker, GA 30084 in memory of Mr. Mathis.
