Harold Van Underwood : Obituary
Harold Van Underwood age 65, of the Boardtown Community, passed Thursday morning, March 7th, 2013, at the Gilmer Nursing Home.
A church going member of the Baptist Faith. Harold graduated from Gilmer High School Class of 1966. A retired truck driver who was employed by Lance Trucking of Blue Ridge, Ga. Born February 11, 1948 to his late parents Rev. William Cleveland and Mary Virginia Key Underwood, in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.
Harold is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marilyn Panter Underwood of the home in Ellijay, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-lsw Tracy and Brad Jenkins of Ellijay, Ga.and Tina and Allen Brooks of Canton, Ga.; sona and daughter-in-law Jeremiah and Coutney Underwood of Yellville, Ak.; grandchildren Aslyn Jenkins, Brady Brooks, Braden Jenkins, and Sarah Beth Underwood; brother and sister-in-law Doug and Rose Underwood of Morrow, Ga.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, March 9, to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m, Sunday afternoon, March 10th, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Jones officiating.
Vocal and music by the New Hope Baptist Church Choir. Interment will be in the Underwood Cemetery.
