Edith Irene Parks Davis : Obituary
Mrs. Edith Irene Parks Davis, age 98, of the Tails Creek community Ellijay passed on Saturday morning March 9th, 2013 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Born December 21st, 1914, to her late parents Luther Edwin and Mary Evelyn Sluder Parks, in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. Preceded in death by her husband Jason Davis and daughter Mary Alice Davis. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, co Jamie Dotson, 460 Crossroads Baptist Church Road, Ellijay, Georgia 30540.
Survived by daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Davis Weaver and Lois and John Nelson both of Ellijay, Georgia; Sons and daughter-in-law, Tim Davis of Cartersville, Georgia and Wayne and Doris Davis of Ellijay, Georgia, Luther and Marilyn Davis of Mississippi; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; sisters, Florence Parks Sanford and Marie Parks Crossman both of Ellijay, Georgia; brother Harold Parks of Oxford, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11th, at the Corssroads Baptist Church, with Rev. Emmett Burgess oficiating, with the Corssroads Baptist Churh Choir, Rosalee Dotson, and Sherry Davis providing vocals and music.
