Gilmer Tennis Wraps Up Season with Senior Night Vs White

GHS split the series with the Lady “Cats” crushing the Lady Warriors 4-1, while the Bobcats fell 3-2.Previously faced Pickens and Towns County, with the Bobcat boys sweeping the season series with the Dragons, with a 3-2 win. Will Luke and Dusty Ray secured wins in second and third doubles. Levi Stolz and Riley Hice won in second doubles for the third win.
The Lady “Cats” slayed the Dragonettes with a 3-2 win as well. Anna Westmoreland took second doubles while both Gilmer doubles teams, Rachel Penland with Mattie Cagle (first) and Jenna Parks with Hanna Thomas (second) all scoring wins.
The Towns County Indians took a split with the “Cats” clobbering the Indians with a 5-0 scalping. The Lady Indians clawed out a 3-2 victory over the Lady “Cats.” Davis got a win in second dingles and Parks with Thomas won in second doubles.
When the Warriors came out to play, the senior tennis players were treated to “goodie bags” by the GHS players, and the entire team and coaching staff was invited to participate in the pre-game picnic.
Westmoreland and Davis took first and second singles versus White County, with the doubles teams sweeping the Lady Warriors.
Hice took third singles and Stolz with Ray took second double in the loss.
