Lyndsay McCurry hit a two-out, two-run double in the top of the seventh to drive home the tying and winning runs on Wednesday for the Kennesaw State Owls, who took down the Georgia State Panthers in Panthersville, 3-2. Sharon Swanson hit her 12th home run of the season for the Owls (23-19, 9-9 Away), a number which leads the Atlantic Sun Conference, part of a 3-for-3 day for the sophomore.In the pitcher’s circle, the Owls were once again carried by the platoon of Abbey Meixel and Amanda Henderson, who had combined for a five-hit shutout on Tuesday. Meixel allowed one earned run on two hits over four and a third innings, striking out six. Henderson took over with one out in the fifth and struck out four, allowing one earned run on three hits.

Georgia State (24-17, 10-7 Home) got six innings one one run, two-hit ball from Kaitlyn Medlam. Panthers closer Erin Collins, who was trying for her NCAA Division I-leading eighth save, allowed the two Owl runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the loss.

The Owls host USC Upstate and East Tennessee State in a pair of A-Sun doubleheaders at Bailey Park this weekend on Friday and Saturday, respectively, both beginning at 2 p.m
