North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network Opens New Office

The North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network held an open house their new outreach office in Gilmer County. The new office is located at 26 River Terrace in Ellijay.
Several special guests attended the event including representatives from the GBI, District Attorney Alison Sosebee, Sheriff Nicholson, and many other prominent members of the community.

According to Executive Director Vicki Van Deilen, the new center will be used to provide care and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Some of the services the organization offers include a 24 hour crisis hotline, 24 hour emergency shelter, emotional support, safety planning, case management, children’s services, and legal advocacy.
