Elderly Couple Found!

Featured Stories, News

Great news! Willie and Pearl Billiot were found safe in Marietta. They were confused and did not know where they were or where they’d been. Police issued a special nationwide thanks for everyone’s help.

Previous Media release: The Floyd County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in searching for an elderly Louisiana couple who were last seen in northeast Floyd County on Friday.

Willie Pearl Billiot (83) and Demetrius Billiot (77) left a residence at 454 Gill Road (near Kingston) to visit family in Ellijay but never arrived. They left their cell phone in Floyd County and calls to their home in Port Sulfur, La., have also been unsuccessful.

Early reports indicate that the Billiots frequently visit Cedartown and Polk County, which is further complicated by information that the wife has dementia and her husband has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

They were last seen in a 2006 white/gray Kia Sorento with a Louisiana disabled license plate H358771.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has issued a Mattie’s Call for the couple. This alert is similar to an Amber Alert but it is intended for elderly or disabled persons who are missing.
Investigators advise that the couple are in poor health and need to be located immediately. Anyone with information should contact 911 or Floyd County Police Investigators Ramey (706-252-4241) or Parris (706-252-4227)
