North Georgia Medical Center Expansion

Announcements, Community

The North Georgia Medical Center is expanding its offices, to the old Appalachian Bank building, and the community center neighboring the old bank building. The new locations, acquired via purchase/lease agreement, offers more space and an upgrade in facilities. The former community center is currently undergoing interior remodeling due to damage to the pipes caused during the winter storms when the building was unoccupied. The carpet will be replaced in favor of tile, which is much less expensive to upkeep.

The new facilities will house all of the employed physicians, as well as a plethora of medical business, such as Apple Medical and Craig Family Medicine. Specialists from Atlanta and Canton will visit once a week for those patients with particular needs.

The structures are currently being redesigned by a team of architects in order to convert it to a proper medical facility. The larger building will house a certified medical day spa. Those looking for manicures and pedicures need not apply. It is not that type of spa but rather will offer services such as laser treatments. There will also be a women’s center, for mammograms, ultrasounds and other procedures specific to the needs of female patients.
