Psalm 139:16-18 “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them. Were I to count them they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake I am still with you.”
O God Our Father, you know our lives from the time we were born to the day we die. You ordained how long we would live. Our lives are truly in your hands. When we think of how much you know about us and how much you love us it is more than our minds can comprehend. Thank you for holding us in such high regard as the most precious part of all your creation.
We want to make our lives count and we want to live with purpose. We see such wasted lives around us for so many people do not know that you created them for a purpose that you had in mind for their lives. They have missed it and they suffer the consequences of living life on their own terms. But it is never too late to make great spiritual discoveries and commit the remainder of days to your design for us.
Bless this person who prays for understanding to know that life is limited and that each day is a gift of grace. Our prayer is made through Jesus who can change everything.
