Featured Stories, Team FYN Sports

The Gilmer High School Bobcats football team held its annual banquet to recognize seniors and superlatives. This year’s banquet had a significantly different feel as long time defensive coordinator, Mark Pettit, officially retired at the end of the 2014 season. After Bill McVey spoke to attendees and the awards were doled out, Pettit and his brother John, were invited on stage and told that the Bobcats’ football field would be renamed “Pettit Field.”Award Winners
