Featured Stories, Team FYN Sports

Team FYN Sports has just confirmed that Gilmer High School head football coach, Wesley Tankersley, will not be the Bobcats’ coach during the 2015 football season. He has taken the job at Ridgeland High School. Team FYN Sports has confirmed that Tankersley told his team today in a brief meeting that he would be taking the job as the coach of the Panthers. Below is a letter we received from Gilmer County Charter School System Superintendent, Jason Kouns.

All,

It is with both a sense of pride and a heavy heart, that I make all aware of the most recent news, that GHS Head Football Coach, Wesley Tankersley, has been offered, and has accepted the Head Football Coaching position at Ridgeland High School in Walker County.

Although tough for Gilmer County, both in terms of his Teaching ability, as well as the loss of the program he has truly built, this is a wonderful opportunity for both Coach Tank and his entire family. The close proximity to Chattanooga will also provide Bree a true opportunity to look once again at Communication/TV positions.

If you find a moment today, I ask that you contact Wesley and thank him for the contributions he has brought to the Bobcat Family!
