The Glad Game
Opinion March 10, 2015Opinion by George McClellan:or all you conservative Republicans out there losing heart because our wishy – washy GOP career politicians in leadership don’t appear to have the gonads to attack but instead, rolls over and plays dead, or maybe it’s to have their tummies scratched, I just want to say you are mistaken and we need to rally our spirits and keep the faith. We are winning!
Oh yes! I am still absolutely in favor of a serious change in the GOP’s leadership, including the replacement of Johnny Isakson, Georgia’s senior Senator, and other old timers who need to be put out to pasture. Their day has come and gone and their commitment to the preservation of our Republic has been found wanting. They’ve really screwed it up badly for the rest of us.
When Georgia experiences its horrible cold, snowy weather I play the glad game. What’s that? I’m glad I’m not in Boston shoveling snow. Here, we wait a few hours and it soon melts away and soon, the hot Georgia sun makes it possible to work on our tans and so things are not really as bad as they seem, are they? We just don’t like to be inconvenienced.
Back to politics. Just consider what the GOP grassroots have done these past six years. To be sure, many activists also claim dual allegiance with their county tea parties and indeed many GOP executive boards, are active Tea Party board members as well. That’s the only way conservatives can make any progress advancing the conservative platforms as the GOP won’t do it, or can’t due to party rules. If the state has an incumbent, the party is bound to support him even if he is a schmuck. Tea party members are bound by no such scruples and can pursue all recidivist republicans to be ‘primarried’, who don’t adhere to the conservative principles they all swore to uphold. Too bad for them.
Look whats been done. A majority of governorships are Republican. Most of the legislative bodies in those states are also Republican. Why? because the GOP and TEA Party activists drove out all the democrats leaving those jobs for Republicans. If we consider the depth and range of youthful Republicans available to stand for President, and compare them with the depth and range of what the democrat party has to offer, maybe three, then we’re in pretty darn good shape, don’t you think? Democrats can thank Barak Hussain Obama for their losses.
Actually, the Democrats have one potential candidate, a woman of little accomplishment, having left a trail of broken foreign policy destruction in her wake, who believes she is entitled to be President because of all she had to suffer through: a cheating husband, lost Whitewater files, a murdered ambassador, a stupid reset button, her entire life protected by a bodyguard of lies. Let’s play the glad game! Aren’t you glad you’re not a democrat right now? It is especially galling for them because Mdm Clinton is now in serious violation of law, a possible felony actually, with her personal email debacle in violation of Federal Law. Aren’t you glad? It’s of her own doing.
So if “Hill” checks out, just who does the democrat party have to run against our youthful, deep list of conservative contenders? Nancy Pelosi? Naw, she’s in her 70’s. Harry Reid? He’s nearly blind. Schumer? Nobody except New Yorkers really know who he is. The former Governor of Maryland, uh, uh, …what’s his name? Nobody knows him at all! The Indian princess, Liz Warren? A young Nancy Pelosi in waiting actually. How about Joe??? Nuf said there!
I also think, very soon, we will see the democrats holding a coronach for their lost party. They could wander years in the wilderness without a Moses. Remember, freedom is the goal the Constitution is the way. Now go out and be glad! (10 March 2015)
