The Obama Administration Part Trois

Opinion

Opinion by John Tutten:I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Hillary Clinton’s press conference at the U.N. on Wednesday. It was quintessential Clinton. Her responses about her private email system were insulting to our intelligence to say the least. And she made it all too clear that she and husband Bill live by different rules than us little people do.

I enjoyed her Cretaceous performance because I believe it’s the beginning of the end for Hillary. For one thing, she just came off so 1990’s. She showed she didn’t understand anything about email or smartphones. And even the media has lost much of its wonder for the Clinton ability to parse. The Democrats are beginning to muse, “If there was just someone else…” Well, maybe there is.

The real reason I believe Hillary is never going to be president is because the current president doesn’t want her to be. Yes, Obama himself does not see Hillary as a fitting successor to carry on his legacy. She’s too centrist. She’s too willing to compromise. She’s too willing to start bombing somebody. She’s too 1990’s.

It’s no secret that the Obamas and the Clintons loathe each other. It’s not hard to imagine where the Clinton animosity for the Obamas came from. In their world, Obama stole the presidency from them in 2008. The Clinton camp felt the presidency was “owed” to Hillary and the upstart Obama deprived her of what she was rightly entitled to.

Bill Clinton was highly insulted by Obama’s insinuation during the 2008 primary season that he was racist. Ed Klein in his recent book “Blood Feud” quotes Bill saying, “I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived”. White House insiders have reported that Michelle and uber-assistant, Valerie Jarrett, refer to Hillary as “Hildebeest”.

So, given this antipathy, why would Obama want the Clintons involved in any way with his presidency? I think the old Mafia adage of “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” applies here. Obama knew very well what he had with Hillary. There was no doubt that she would run for the presidency after his term was over.

The Obama camp had intimate knowledge of Hillary’s secrecy, ineptness, and corruption. If you did not ever want her to be president, why not give her a position in your cabinet where you can amass plenty of dirt to undermine her candidacy for president when the time came? I believe that is what is going on with the now public email scandal.

There is no way that the Obama administration was unaware of Hillary’s private email use. No way. Every email she sent out showed a non-.gov email address but no one challenged her on it. Everyone in the administration knew the protocol. Everyone understood the requirements for document preservation and they just let Hillary dig an ever-deeper hole.

The New York Times, the liberal paper of record, broke this story and it’s not hard to imagine a late night phone call from the White House being the source. Hillary was getting ready to formerly announce her candidacy and now she has been broadsided by a scandal of her own making and a nudge from the White House. The timing of the revelation is not a coincidence.

I don’t expect this to be the last shoe to drop on Hillary’s campaign either. Not until she drops out of the presidential race. I fully expect some highly negative Benghazi revelations to become public that will finally sink her candidacy. Trey Gowdy’s committee has been way too quiet and maybe the House Republicans are playing the same game as the White House.

So, if Hillary is out, whom do the Dems and more to the question, who does Obama turn to for 2016? Who is worthy to carry on the transformation of America now well on its way? If you are Obama, there is no one other than Obama!

I know you knowledgeable readers out there are shouting, “What about the 22nd Amendment!?” My reply is, “What about it?” Our current president is the most lawless president by far in our history. His hatred of our Constitution is only exceeded by his desire to circumvent it. Why would he let the 22nd Amendment get in the way of his greatness? No. He has taken un-Constitutional action after un-Constitutional action throughout his presidency. And given his election history of eliminating opponents, things seem to be falling into place again.

Do you think there is one Democrat that would oppose him assuming a third term? Do you really think the Republican leadership in Washington is going to do anything? Not if they can hang on to their committee chairmen positions. And the way the Pentagon has been purged of those with strong leadership and character traits, who would be left there to oppose him?

If he ran as a normal candidate, we could just vote him out right? That’s theoretically possible but even assuming a fair election, there’s now more voters getting aid from the government than not. It’s not clear he would not be reelected for a third term.

The next two years may the most interesting and consequential in this country’s history. We can’t remain just witnesses. We all must get engaged to preserve our republic and our civil society.
