Mr. Roy Lee Elrod age 66 of Talking Rock, GA died Sunday April 19, 2015. Mr. Elrod was born April 14, 1949 in Murray County. He was a member and a of Deacon of Berean Baptist Church and worked in the textile industry. He is preceded in death by brother, Glen Elrod.

Survivors Include: wife, Marcella Elrod, of the home; parents, Herschel and Lucille Elrod, of Chatsworth, GA; sons and daughter in-law, Keith Elrod, Clay and Amanda Elrod, all of Talking Rock, GA; daughter and son in-law, Rhonda and Dewayne Newton, of Ellijay, GA; sister, Barbara Martin, of Chatsworth, GA; 5 grandchildren, Courtney Wimpey, Madelyn Elrod, Lauren Newton, Ally and Caylee Elrod; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 23rd at 2pm from the Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Payne and Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. The Body will Lie-in-State at the church from 12pm until 2pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday April 22nd from 2pm until 9pm at the funeral home.

In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the Berean Baptist Church c/o Dewell Sanford at P.O. Box 16, Ellijay, GA 30540 In Memory of Mr. Elrod.

The family request no food be brought to the funeral home.
