Blue Demons Defeated by Bobcats: “Cats” Clinch at Lake Norman
The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team traveled to Lake Norman North Carolina to take part in the Lake Norman Duals Tournament. The Bobcats placed first in the tournament with a 40-28 victory over Pinecrest.
The Bobcats faced stiff competition en route to the first place finish: George Britt; Lake Norman; Fort Dorchester; Christiansburg; and the aforementioned Pinecrest.
Fort Dorchester is the defending South Carolina state champion. Christiansburg has won 12 straight state titles, and was ranked #8 in the nation. Gilmer won 46-25.
