"DO IT"
How often have you either said or heard, what can I do? Perhaps it is difficult to accept, but believe me, there are several things that you can and should do. Start by attending meetings, be sure to read the newsletters, inject your thoughts into conversations, offer your time and talent in those areas you have expertise in, that means to volunteer your assistance. Make the requested phone calls, send the emails and take part in rallies. Join in gathering signatures on petition drives. Although sometimes you feel that you are not accomplishing anything, rest assured, your efforts, no matter how small, add to success. After all, the power really does lie with the People.

However, you also have to have a message that speaks to the majority of the people. To have a message and ideas that speaks for one portion of the population does no good.
To have a representative in congress that passes laws that will never be enacted, is useless. We must negotiate, and compromise to achieve goals that benefits everyone. To send someone there and say "my way or the highway" is a waste of time. There must be moderate voters out there.
