The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team wrapped it's annual road trip to the Missouri Tigers Style Wrestling Camp. The Bobcats finished with 7-2 record in Duals with the two losses coming at the hands of Neosho and Jackson, each a state championship team from the host state. In the traditional tournament, held at on the last day of camp, Cameron Perry won the 132lbs weight class.

The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team won its 11th state championship in Macon this past weekend, when the “Cats” claimed the State Traditional Title. The “Cats” captured the Duals title earlier this year. The Cats finished with 182.50 points, 21.50 more than second place Carrollton, and with 9 place winners, five finalists, and two champions, Cameron Perry (126) and Johnie Flakes (138). The Gilmer High School Wrestling Team took 11 wrestlers to the Sectional tournament held at Pickens High School this past weekend. Only the top eight place winners from each weight class can compete in the State Traditional Tournament. [Read more »] 

The Gilmer Bobcats wrestling team ran roughshod over the competition, scoring 232.50 total points, a full 72.50 points more than the second place Lafayette Ramblers. The Bobcats placed 12 total wrestlers in the top four, guaranteeing a spot in the upcoming sectionals tournament, with five first place finishers. [Read more »]

The Gilmer Bobcats wrestling team took part in the state traditional tournament at the Gwinnet Arena Civic center. The Bobcats, looking to defend the traditional state title, as well as complete a sweep of both the state duals and traditional title for the third year in row, came up 11 points short, as the Heritage Generals finished with 139 total team points to Gilmer’s 128, making the Generals the AAA state traditional title.
