Gilmer High School's Tyler Bertolini was carted off the field during Friday nights varsity football loss to Cartersville with an ankle injury. He is currently seeking medical treatment. The injury has not been diagnosed yet. FYN will update when the extent of the injury is discovered.

The Gilmer High School Bobcats made the long trek to Cedartown, to take on the Bulldogs. Cedartown showed the visitors no hospitality as the Bulldogs cruised to a 46-6 victory. Gilmer simply had no answer for the Bulldogs rushing attack, as Cedartown racked up a 416-55 yard advantage on the ground. The running game was so effective that the Bulldogs won despite completing only one pass on the night. [Read more »]

The Gilmer High School Bobcats' ninth grade football team held a three day mini camp in order to get the incoming freshman acclimated to the Bobcat standard. The freshman team will scrimmage their junior varsity counterparts on August 25th at 3:30 p.m. The first ninth grade game will be a home game on September 8th versus Ridgeland. [Read more »]
