Justin Houston, OLB for the University of Ga. Bulldogs was named a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which is given to best defensive player in the nation. There were five other finalists for the award all from either the South Eastern Conference, or the Atlantic Coastal Conference.Houston leads the SEC in sacks with 10. Auburn DT Nick Fairley, also a finalist, is second with 7.5.
The other finalists are: Patrick Paterson, cornerback (LSU); Da’Quan Bowers, defensive end (CLEM); and Luke Kuechly, linebacker, (BC).
