Previously fetchyournews.com reported on a proposed signage change which would replace two signs on Hwy 515. Mr. Smith gave an update at the March 10, 2011 Board of Commissioner’s meeting regarding the signage. The BOC looked at the sign proposal and decided to do some research on possible alternatives. The BOC expressed they would like to be fair to all since both potentially bring tourists to our area.
This is a copy of the “joint sign” (Apple Capital & Mountain Biking Capital) that was approved by GDOT in 2009.
As Mr. Smith reported at last BOC meeting, GDOT approval of this sign is contingent on the removal of “Apple Capital” sign. The copy indicates the sign would have a brown background with white lettering. Currently the “Apple Capital” signs have a green background with white lettering.
