Mrs. Dorothy Dilbeck Pettit age 78 of Pettit Ridge Rd. Ellijay, GA died Saturday May 14, 2011.

Mrs. Pettit was born on November 1, 1932 in Cherokee, NC. She is the daughter of the late Walter Dilbeck & Florence Bailey Dilbeck. She was a housewife and was a member of the River Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Pettit.

Survivors include: Daughter: Lee Ann Cochran, Ellijay; Sons: Bobby Pettit, Ellijay, Terry Pettit, Ellijay, Stacey Pettit, Ellijay; 9 Grandchildren; 2 Great grandchildren; Sister: Thelma Marcel, Hephzibah, GA; Brothers: Harold Dilbeck, Ellijay, Reed Dilbeck, Ellijay, Ralph Dilbeck, Canton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 17, 2011 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Hood officiating. Interment will be in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday May 15th from 1pm until 9pm and all day Monday May 16th until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
