Robert Henry Vickers, Jr. : Obituary

Mr. Robert Henry Vickers, Jr. age 78 of Ellijay, GA died Sunday March 18, 2012.

Mr. Vickers was born on October 15, 1933 in Clayton, GA. He is the son of the late Robert H. Vickers, Sr. and Maggie Page Vickers. He worked as a manager for a textile mill. He was a college graduate and a member of Tickanetly Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by son, Andrew Steven Vickers, Sister, Jessie Ruth Houck, and half-brother Leon Blackley.

Survivors include: Wife: Edna Mooney Vickers, of the home; Daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl and Jim Murphy, Walhalla, SC, Angie and Greg Lawless, Cumming, Mary Vickers, Atlanta; Son and daughter-in-law: Elder Ed and Ashley Vickers, Lawrenceville; 5 Grandchildren: Erin Lawless, Nick Lawless, Ben Murphy, Zeke Vickers, Dawn Brake; 2 Great grandchildren: Ethan Holland, Bella Holland; Sisters: Mary Elizabeth Law, Mountain City, Polly Davenport, Chatsworth.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 11am from the Tickanetly Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ed Vickers, Elder Lawrence Mooney, and Elder Paul Mooney officiating. Interment will be held in the Tickanetly Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Monday, March 19th from 4pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
