Mrs. Annie Lee Parks age 88 of Talking Rock died Sunday April 8, 2012.
Mrs. Parks was born on October 14, 1923 in Gilmer Co. the daughter of the late John W. Keener and Susie Viola Sutton Keener. She worked for Pickens Footwear and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Herbert Lewis Parks, Sr., son, Lewis Parks, Jr., great great grandchild, Covin Dickerson, sisters, Viola Evans and Evelyn Keener, and brothers, John Goss and Coy Keener.
Survivors include: Daughters and son-in-law: Lillie Sue and Steve Reece, Talking Rock, Elizabeth “Libby” Suggs, Ranger, Gloria Burrage, Ranger; 4 Grandchildren: Caroline Black, Kathy Ann Rochester, Connie Stuck, Benson Suggs, 6 Great grandchildren; 8 Great great grandchildren; Sisters: Ethel Adams, Ellijay, Bonnie Moss, Ellijay; Brothers: Alvin Keener, Ellijay, William Keener, Ellijay, Fred Keener, East Ellijay; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Truman and Ann Parks, Talking Rock.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 11, 2012 from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Keener, Rev. Ken Cochran, Rev. Emuel Sanford, and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Tuesday April 10, 2012 from 2pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
