Alice Mooney Waters : Obituary

Mrs. Alice Maybelle Mooney Waters age 90 of Ellijay died Thursday June 14, 2012.

Mrs. Waters was born on February 16, 1922 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Elder N. R. Mooney, Sr., and Rilla McClure Mooney. She was a seamstress and a member of the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband William Waters, Sr.

Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law: Dolores & Jim Wright, Ellijay; Son & daughter-in-law: William & Laura Waters, Houston, TX; 4 Grandchildren: Amy Rylant, Canton, James Wight III, Charleston, West Virginia, Dr. Dawn Waters, San Diego, CA Holly Waters, New York; 2 Great grandchildren: Andrew Wright & Ethan Youmans; Brothers: Elder Paul, Hoover & N.R. Mooney, Jr. all of Ellijay; Sisters: Lemma Sanford, Jo Ann Hill & Lois Mulkey all of Ellijay; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 17, 2012 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Elder Paul Mooney officiating.

Interment will follow in the N.R. Mooney Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends Saturday June 16th from 6pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
