On September 24, 2012 Gilmer Rotary members were given a tour of the 24,000 square foot Faith, Hope and Charity Thrift Store located in the Spring Plaza Shopping Center.
Our host and tour guide was Tom Rippy, manager of the Thrift Store. Rotary members were amazed at the financial controls and how well merchandised the store was. It is all done with volunteers, with money left over to make contributions to other charities. This is a great service to the people of Gilmer County. My hat is off to all of the volunteers who make this large machine work. (Article by Jack Nunn, Rotary Club Public Relations)
