Mr. Howard Waddell : Obituary

Howard Waddell, 78 of Locust Grove, Georgia died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia. Born Saturday, February 29, 1936 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Thomas Reed Waddell and Janie Seay Waddell. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School Class of 1953 and was employed by Central Trucking. Mr. Waddell was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Stockbridge. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Stockbridge, 4566 N. Henry Blvd. Stockbridge, GA., 30281, in memory of Howard Waddell.

Survivors include wife of 60 years, Hilda Sue Crawford Waddell of Locust Grove, GA.; daughters and sons-in-law Monica Baker of Locust Grove, Judy and Doug Piette of Stockbridge, GA.; Sons and Daughters-in-law Doug and Sonja Waddell of Locust Grove, GA., Ken and Sandy Waddell of Stockbridge, GA.; 8 grand children; 4 great grand children; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Stockbridge located at 4566 N Henry Blvd. Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, with the Rev. Steve Murell officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m at the church on Saturday. A second funeral service will be held at Mountaintown Baptist Church, Ellijay, GA., at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 with Rev. John Bramblett officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Logan Funeral Home prior to the Funeral at Mountaintown Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Parks, Donald Cantrell, Larry Waddell, Clint Waddell, Timothy Piette, Joseph Piette and Nic Waddell.
