Mrs. Barbara Culin Spragg, age 81 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the Cameron Hall of Canton.Born June 1, 1933 in Port Jervis, New York, she was the daughter of the late Barrett Culin and the late Janet Logan Parry Culin. She was a graduate of Cal State Fullerton receiving her Master’s Degree in Education and retired with North Central Florida Planning Council. Mrs. Spragg enjoyed volunteering for several organizations such as Hospice, ACS, and at school. She also loved to spend time with her family, fishing and boating. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Campbell Spragg and daughter, Cynthia Spragg Woolard.
Mrs. Spragg is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Janelle Spragg of Potomac Falls, VA, daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Steve Howe of Ellijay, GA and Susan and Matthew Thornton of Fullerton, CA. grandchildren, Susan Howe-Williams, Michael Howe, Jessica Spragg, Brianna Spragg, Shannon Thornton and Shaun Thornton, great grandchildren, Michael Daniel Howe, Christian Williams and Ryan Williams.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday January 17th, 2015 at the Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor David Smedley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
