Mr. Virnal H. Chastain, age 88, of Green Circle, Ellijay, died Friday February 6, 2015. Mr. Chastain was born, January 30, 1927, in Gilmer County, the son of the late Joe Brown and Ila Southern Chastain. He worked in the Poultry industry and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist church.
Survivors include; Wife: Lois Baker Chastain , Daughters: JoAnn Rymer,Diane Hughes both of Ellijay, Sister-in-law; Opal Chastain, Ellijay ,4 grandchildren Kevin Hughes, Travis Hughes, Stacey Lambert, Ashley Rymer,1 great grandchild, Matthew Mitchell nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Sunday from 9:00am until the funeral hour at 2:00pm.
