Mrs. Brenda Ruth Ward Weaver: Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Ruth Ward Weaver, age 62 of the Boardtown community, Cherry Log, passed on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at her residence. Born February 13, 1953 in Blue Ridge, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Chester Ward and the late Dorothy Holloway Ward. Mrs. Weaver was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her brother Joe Ward and brother-in-law, Doug Chapman.

Mrs. Weaver is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd S. Weaver of Cherry Log, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Stacy Pettit of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jamey and Sherry Weaver of Cherry Log, GA; Grandchildren, Courtney Davis, Ryan Davis and Sawyer Pettit; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby Chapman of Atlanta, GA, Wanda and Gerald Chadwick of Ellijay, GA, Janith and Edward Dotson of Ellijay, GA, Carol and Lowell Queen of Epworth, GA, Reda and Leslie Quenn of Mineral Bluff, GA, and Ellene Owenby of McCaysville, GA; Brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Linda Ward of Cherry Log, GA, Carolyn Ward of Cherry Log, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday April 2nd, 2015 from the Macedonia Church of Christ with Min. Butch Jones and Min. Justin Mason officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery with Ryan Davis. Richard Weaver, Greg Dotson, David Chadwick, Chris McHargue, Junior Jenkins, Donald Chancey and Llandry Croft serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm on Wednesday April 1st, 2015 from 4:00pm-9:00pm, and from 11am until 1pm on Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 at Logan Funeral Home.
