Kimsey L. Waddell: Obituary

Mr. Kimsey L. Waddell, age 85 of Ellijay, GA died Sunday August 2, 2015.

Mr. Waddell was born October 20, 1929 in Gilmer County, son of the late, Clay and Pearl Brown Waddell. He was a veteran, retiring from the US Army and member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Craig Waddell and his wife, Alene Cantrell Waddell.

Survivors Include: wife, Lois Waddell, of the home; daughters and sons in-law, Connie and Stuart McClure, of Ellijay, GA, Kimberly and James Weaver, of Ellijay, GA; step children, Andrea and Jerry McArthur, of Dalton, GA, Benny and Juliet Teague, of Orange Park, FL; brother and sister in-law, Roy and June Waddell, of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Vera Mae Padgett and Laura Pettit, both of Ellijay, GA; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Cody Hensley; 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday August 4th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover and Rev. John Pettit officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors by the US Army.

The family will receive friends Monday August 3rd from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral.
