Mr. Gary Arvil Wilson: Obituary

Mr. Gary Arvil Wilson, age 64 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Gary was born January 30, 1952 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Arvil Henry and Joyce Ann Abernathy Wilson. He was a member of the Flat Branch Baptist Church, was employed by Tuft-Co in Dalton for 20 years and retired from Pritchett Technologies where he worked as a welder.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shelia Nell Lasyone Wilson of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons-in-law Shane and Donnie Crook, Leslie and Don Hall, and Amy Rebecca Wilson, all of Ellijay, GA; Son and daughter-in-law Jerimey and Lynn Wilson of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren, Destiny Dotson, Jessica Dotson, Shanese Crook, Marissa Hall, Kimberly Newton, Allie Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Maizee Burgess, Nadia Hall and Drake Randolph; great grandchild Peyton Dotson; sisters and brother-in-law, Melea and Rodney Nichols of Ellijay, GA and Amanda Wilson Rogers of Greenfield, IN; brother, Dannie Wilson of Ellijay, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 from the chapel of Logan Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Naylor officiating. Music and vocals will be by Dannie Wilson and Joy Hice and Barry Abernathy. Graveside interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will recieve friends from 4pm until 9pm on Monday, April 4th, 2016 and all day Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 until 9pm at the Logan Funeral Home.
