Ms. Tammie D. Griggs Johnson age 54 of Dalton died Tuesday May 3, 2016.
Ms. Johnson was born March 22, 1962 in Whitfield County the daughter of Herbert and Joan Brock Griggs, She worked in the textile industry and was a member of the Mineral Springs United Methodist Church in Dalton.
Survivors include; children and spouses Christy Johnson, Dalton, Joanie and Brandon Rhudy, Dalton, Jennifer and Jason Planzer, Dalton, 6 grandchildren; Aaliyah, Hezekiah, Jazzmine, Hunter, Sydney and Kinlei, parents, Herbert and Joan Griggs, Dalton, grandmother: Leola Griggs, Ellijay, brothers and sisters-in-law ;Steve Griggs, Tony and Wanda Griggs, all of Dalton, Patrick and Crystal Griggs, Hope Mill, NC, sister and brother-in-law: Kelly and Tim Plumley, Dalton, special friends, Betty James, Chatsworth and Melvin Wasdin, Dalton, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 6, 2016 at 5:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Delashmitt officiating. Interment will be in the Flat Branch Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Planzer, Brandon Rhudy, Hunter Gilbert, Melvin Wasdin, Hank Duncan, Patrick and Steve Griggs.
The family will meet with friends Fri from 12noon until the funeral hour.
