Pettit Field Renovation Gets Facelift

The renovation to Pettit Field at Huff-Mosley Memorial Stadium is coming along nicely, as the much-hyped artificial turf has been laid.

As seen in these photos taken yesterday, the track has also been repaved.

Further remodeling will include an overhaul of both the home and visitors concession stand and bathrooms, exterior brickwork on the existing and new buildings, a new ticket booth and new fencing.

With the field far from finished, the Gilmer High School Bobcats will play their spring football game tonight at Clear Creek Middle School. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
