Mr. George Lamar Clark, age 68 of Jasper, Georgia passed on Sunday evening, June 19, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Clark was born April 2, 1948 in Jasper, Georgia to his late parents George Lamar and Louvelle Gayton Clark. He was a member of Arbor Hill Baptist Church, was formerly employed by Pickens County as a maintenance worker, and also sold produce. He is preceded in death by his wife, Inez Hooper Clark, and sisters, Velma Wood, Lillie Florence and Evon Clark.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jody and Angel Clark and Nathan and Norma Beasley, all of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Chris Pittman of Ranger, GA; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great grandchildren; brothers, Rommy and Cindy Clark of Waleska, GA, Jimmy and Sue Clark of Jasper, GA and Randy and Jackie Reed of Waleska, GA; Sister-in-law and spouse Shirley and Ricky McDowell of Jasper, GA also survive.
Funeral services are being planned and arrangements will be announced as soon as they are available.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Jody Clark at 4446 Roundtop Road, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Clark.
