Ms. Betty Jo Ray Pinson, age 73 of Ellijay, Georgia died on Monday, October 24, 2016, at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Born Tuesday, November 10, 1942 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents Fred William and Edith Juanita Bradburn Ray. She was a member of Little Baptist Church and retired as a nurse’s assistant at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her Husband, Herman Cleveland Pinson and Daughter, Donna Huffman.

Ms. Pinson is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Dana Pinson of Dahlonega, GA, Jimmy and Connie Pinson of Blairsville, GA and Robert Pinson of Ellijay, GA, 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Ray of Texas, Charles Ray of Ellijay, GA Joe and Debra Ray of Texas, sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Wesley Thornton of Elizabethton, TN, Kathy Smith of Ellijay, GA, Anita Bishop of Murrayville, GA and Vicki Maddox of Ellijay, GA.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday October 26th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Scott and Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Music and singing will be by Irene Wofford. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Little Baptist Church Fund C/O Johnny Scott at 123 Valley View Lane Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Ms. Pinson.
