Mr. Roy Wilburn Milton: Obituary

Mr. Roy Wilburn Milton, age 74 of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of Ellijay passed on Monday, December 12, 2016, at his residence. Born, April 22, 1942 in Ellijay, Georgia, he was the son of the late Clay Milton and the late Edith Harper Robison. He was a graduate of North Whitfield High School class of 1962 and was formerly employed with the Blue Ridge Carpet Mill. Mr. Milton was a honorably discharged Korean War Veteran that served in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Christina “Cricket” Ponder Milton and son, David Milton.

He is survived by his nieces, Melanie Milton Flood and Tara R. Panter both of Dalton,GA., brother, Johnny Darrell Milton of Dalton, GA., Step-children, Rhonda Parks of Ellijay, GA, Donald Parks of Calhoun, GA., Brothers-in-law, Bobby Ponder of Ellijay,GA., Glen Ponder of Ellijay,GA., Sisters-in-law, Pat Moore of Calhoun, GA., Judy Mann of Jasper, GA., Maxine Little of Ellijay, GA., several grandchildren, nieces, nephews,great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday December 16th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Military Honors will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will be in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home.
