Mr. Philemon J. Davis, age 86, of Talking Rock, died Monday, February 20, 2107.
Mr. Davis was born July 4, 1930, in Gilmer County, the son of the late John Robert and Janie Dotson Davis.
He was retired having worked in the manufacturing industry and was a member of the Little Baptist Church. James Davis, Jack Davis, Jeremy Waters and Anita Neal preceded him in death.
Survivors include: wife, Joy Taylor Davis, son: Johnny Davis, Ellijay, daughters; Jane Arnold, Ellijay, Nikki Davis Parks, Jasper, Pam Wilson, Ellijay, Wendy Long, Alaska, sister; Lillie Sanford, Ellijay, 14 grandchildren, 11,great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Brother Anthony Sanford and Sister Linda Dillard officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
