Mr. Zed Cantrell, age 98, of Ellijay, died Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Mr. Cantrell was born December 18, 1918 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Lem and Louise Stamey Cantrell. He worked as a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
His parents and wives Ester Edna Cantrell and Ina Priest Cantrell preceded him in death.
Survivors include: daughters and sons in law: Mae Belle and James McClure, Lorene and Robert Hyatt all of Ellijay, 7 grandchildren; Debra McClure, Janet Boulh, Lamar McClure, Kathy Elliott, Tina Waddell, Allan Hyatt and Lavone Mealer. 10 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 3:00pm, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Rev. Daniel Hyatt officiating. Interment will be in the Riverhill Baptist church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 9:00am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
