Mrs. Laura Young Sommer, age 81 of Ellijay, died Saturday April 1, 2017.
Mrs. Sommer was born, September 27,1935 in Lancaster, CA, the daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Alma Elizabeth Reese Young. She worked in shipping and processing for College Press and was a member of the Ranger Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Her husband Ray Sommer preceded her in death.
Survivors Include: daughter, Tabitha Tesnue, Alexandria, VA; sons, David Sommer, Myrtle Beach, SC and Daniel Sommer, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; adopted family, Doc and Elaine McClure, their children and grandchildren; special caregiver: Deborah Skaggs.
Graveside services will be held Sunday April 2, 2017 at 3:00pm from the Yukon cemetery with Pastor Wendell Stover officiating. The family will meet at the cemetery at 2:45pm Sunday.
